The snow made a nice surprise appearance on the last day of 2009. BIG thanks to my buddy Joseph for the holiday gift card! I used it to buy a little pocket-sized, point and shoot digital cam. Never had one! These first set of pictures I took in Central Parkk are for you Jo-Jo! :-) Happy New Year!

Cell phone capture: Mural details, El Barrio, NYC
Cell phone photos taken in El Barrio (Spanish Harlem), New York City. Depending on where you're from, you'll view the murals and writings as "grafitti" while others will see it as "art". Whatever your demographic, these Latino artists deserve their props, especially James De la Vega!
Mural details by Artist Manny Vega.
Mural detail, Celia Cruz by james De la Vega. According to Salon.com, "De la Vega is the most revered street artist in New York".
If this was a Basquiat on or any time after August 13th, 1998 (the day after his death), this would be snatched up, but because it's De la Vega, it remains waiting to be picked up by the garbage truck...that is, until he is no longer with us. So goes it in the art world...

Andrea Fairweather and Eddie Bailey Wedding photos in black and white
Post-wedding shoot in DUMBO. Brooklyn.
A few images to reminisce on the beautiful day of Andrea and Eddie's wedding. I'm still full of pride for Andrea for finally meeting the man of her dreams, Eddie Bailey. And there is nothing short of cosmic that Andrea and I go back to the second grade, and I end up,so many years later, photographing her on her wedding day.

As Eddie puts it: "These are very Sex and the City!"
Eddie waiting for Andrea to show up at the church for their wedding.
