I took this photo at the (former) Akwaaba Cafe in Bed-Stuy. I can't remember what I was toasting to, but pictured here looking very unamused is my beautiful friend Ngozi.
Akwaaba has since closed. I can't recall the name of it right now, but my first brunch at the "new" spot was less than tasty, and that's being kind. :-)
